Default [Resolved] Second Hard Drive Question

Howdy,

I installed a second hard drive on my computer. My original hard drive is still there, its a Western Digital Protege 400 blah blah blah

The second hard drive i installed is a Seagate(ST340810A)

both are 40GB

Now, the question: Once I installed it, the seagate, i realized it wasnt swiped.
how do i reformat this drive?
I have a utility cd that wipes the hard drive clean but how do i partition the the seagate for storage?

Heya Terdogtanner,

When you are in Windows, right click on my computer, click manage, click disk management, then find the Seagate drive which should be a grayed out area of unpartitioned space. Right click the unpartitioned space and click Format. Then do a quick NTFS format. About a minute later it should be done and ready to go.

Double click My Computer, right click on the drive you want to name, click properties, you'll see a blank box at the top. Put whatever you want to call it in there, click ok. It will still show the drive letter though. If you want it to just say Local Disk C:, then leave that space blank.
