Typical stupid question which you propably get asked every week. Can I add another SATA(500Gig WD) drive on my computer? (I'm pretty sure cause I saw another input for SATA cable, just to be 100% sure).
And which ones's better if there's any difference? Samsung, WD or Seagate?(same rpm's)

Hey Stepes,

Yep, you can add another SATA drive no problems, you don't even have to even mess with jumpers on the drive, but you may have to sort out the boot priority within BIOS.

Raptor HDD's are good (10,000 RPM), but if you have SATA 2, even better. WD and Seagate are the top.

Hi Stepes, yes you can add another SATA drive, I'm pretty sure your board supports RAID as well so that may be an option worth considering.

It's really a matter of personal preference at the end of the day, if you've had bad experiences with WD drives and nothing but good with Seagate ones, then Seagate would probably be the way to go. Just make sure you read lots of reviews on the particular drive you're interested in. I think those Samsung spinpoints are nice drives, also take a look at Seagates Barracuda range.

EDIT: madmonkey beat me to it lol
