I split my hard drive in 2 using power quest partition magic 8. I no longer wanted the second partition, so i used the delete partition feature, thinking this would put the 50 gb that i had taken from the origional 1 whole partition back on to it again, but this was not the case, it just keeps the 50gb as "unallocated" I have tried merging the partitions together but they are apparently different ntfs version numbers, one being 3 and the other 0.Please help me find a way to bring back my old hard drive layout.

How about just resizing the partition to fill the whole hard drive again?

afraid ive tried that, but it says there are no primary or logical partitions on this drive, when there are clearly 2....
