On a recent trip to Japan I needed to back up some files from my notebook, so bought a IO Data ext USB HDD (HDPG-SU120). There were English labels on the box, but when I opened it the installed manual and the sync and partitioning software are all in Japanese - no other language support at all. I was able to copy the necessary files across, but would like to know if anyone knows where i might find some suitable sync and partitioning applications that I could use for this HDD. I have checked the IO Data website and its also only in Japanese.

Looks like the Drive comes with PowerX / Hard Disk Manager 7.0 and HD revolution / Partition Lite Ver.1. Might I reccomend Acronis True Image for your backup needs and Partitiom Magic to partition needs. Both are good programs. Actually most backup / disk managers would do. Nice external drive I must say. It has good spec.
