Greetings friends,

I turned my computer off one night, and attempted to power it up the next day. When I try to boot up, I get this message... "disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter" Well, I put in a recovery CD and it continues to say the same thing. I went into my BIOS and made my CD drive #1 and my HD #2 on booting up and I get the same thing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

personally i would wait and see if you get a reply from someone who would know more about this than me but if i was you and no one was helping me out i would remove the cmos battery off your motherboard and replace it after about 10 minutes. what this does is puts the bios back to its orignial state - it could sort the problem out for you and certainly wouldnt make things worse
