It was in a clear box with out any informations on it(that should have been the first hint not to buy it), n the lady at the counter said that it would work, then i got home n discovered these problems......with that said, i do a lot of video editing & 3d graphics, so i do have the need for high speed hard drives, i was just unaware that i was buying a high speed hard drive till i got home n google the serial number, i only paid $20Aust for it, n i know they will let me return it, so its not to much of a problem

The kinds of performance SCSI drives bring can only truly be harnessed by extreme bandwidth servers. Even doing video editing you'll hardly max out an IDE drive, much less a SATA drive. I do video editing too and I only run SATA drives, my other rig has a standard IDE drive and it still does video editing just fine
