Default Best brand?

Out of curiosity, what's your preferred HD manufacturer?
I used to have a Maxtor and it failed me so they're off the list, switched to Seagate and loving it...so I'd have to go with Seagate
I have two Seagate drives right now and they work great....yours?

I've owned more than a few seagates, and only had one of them go out on me over the years. They're a good brand in my opinion.

Though...i tend to fashion the Western Digital hard drives the best...call me crazy

Does seagate make a 10k RPM harddrive yet though? I think there highest is 7200 right?

I don't know, I wouldn't mind having my slave drive as a a seagate, but my primary drive with my OS and all my system files will always be the fastest drive available.

Maxtor is off your list? I have two of them and they perform very nicely!

Because of Maxtor I had to buy an $80 data recovery program, after that they were WAY off my list
I popped that drive into an old emachines PC and sold it on ebay
Maxtor+emachines....now there's quality!
