Hello dutchy, welcome to PCHF.

These instructions should help you for an IDE Drive: Install Hard Drive - A guide to installing a hard drive (IDE)

A SATA drive isn't much different, except for the ribbon cable will be a thin (normally red) cable instead. Also, the jumpers on a SATA drive are not used. Setting your primary drive will be done within BIOS instead.

If you're talking IDE drives it is very simple, on the drive next to the power port are usually a row of 8 pins and one solitary one (this is not always the case though), usually it looks like this:
' :::: (the ' being the single pin), the settings are usually this

(Single Pin) | Master | Slave | Cable Select | Limit drive capacity to 32gb
Just move the jumper to the 2nd row of pins for slave and connect the IDE and power cables.

Though that's how it generally is on IDE drives it's not how it always is though, some drives have different setups, like Western Digital, but they usually always have instructions on the top or front of the drive for setting master/slave.
If you have any questions ask away

You didn't say whether it was IDE or Sata you are trying to connect. Here is another link that address both setup's. Let us know how it works out.
