Ah, that's the thing ya see!

I bought an OEM from ebay. turns out not to even have SP1 on it! Ive done the integrating before so I should be able to get it.

Giving gigabyte a ring sounds like a good plan though. Think i'll try that.

Hope this helps and sorry the previous try was a no-go.
Not a problem matey, it's the nature of the beast. I bet if it was sat infront of you, you'd have it fixed in no time!!

this started when you installed the RAM? if so, download a program call memtest86 and run it, using only your new memory. if there are errors, send em back in an RMA, and that should hopefully fix it

Hi AW_3_3, Thanks for getting involved.

It doesn't work with my old RAM in either, which Ive tested OK. Slipstreaming the drivers doesn't work either

Im definitely out of my league with this problem. I need a solution I can get my head around.

So................

RAID drivers, are they actually drivers that sit on my HDD, or are they Firmware that sits on the RAID controller chip?

If they're on the chip, could I stick an IDE cable to my HDD and install x64 like that, then just rip out the IDE, and be left with a working RAID drive, fully x64ed up?
