Default How do i connect IDE HD to a SATA?
Ok ill start off with what i want to do.

I have 3 IDE hard drives, my mobo accepts sata and ide connections.

My asus A8V-E SE can only accept 2 IDE Hardrives at a time. So i bought a IDE to SATA adapter to try and get this to work. I set my 3rd hardrive as a slave and used the IDE to SATA adapter on it. When i boot, the 3rd hd is a no show. Can anyone help me on how to get my 4rd harddrive to work? The 3rd hd is my old one with my old xp OS.

Im a little confused 3rd hdd is?ide or sata?4th hdd is ide or sata?wich drive is not showing up?ide or sata?have you enabled sata and ide in bios?

here you will find an array of double and tripple power cables and ide/sata so you may find a lead so you can fit a 4th drive maybe more.
