had my current pc about a year now and it is very loud (sounds like an airplane taking off)especially when it's is processing something, without taking my pc apart is it going to be the fan or my hard drive that is noisy?

Sounds like the Fan LordC. Most modern CPU fans will increase and decrease in speed depending on the temperature of the CPU, making sure your CPU is cool enough. Make sure that there is sufficient cooling inside the PC and ventelation for the hot air to escape the PC. Make sure the heatsink is not clogged up with dust.
