@AMD, i do understand that you're trying to help, but we pride ourselves on having friendly and helpful service. All 3 of your posts weren't very helpful, and they could be considered unfriendly - you can't transfer emotions or body language over the internet

@thekap, from the sounds of the error message that you're getting, it appears that the hard drive has lost all the data that was kept on it.
I know this wasn't the best answer you were looking for. Your best bet is to try "undelete" software, such as FinalRecovery. They do cost a bit of money, but worth it when they work.

Ok I have a remedy for you. Can you receive a zipped file via your email. I don't want to post a link within the forum cause I believe you are not suppose to do that. But I can send you a program that will fix your problem Just read the instuctions and you can recover all lost data.

Hi there I'd try plugging the old hard drive into the new PC as a slave forget about the ext USB to slow then run chkdks to see it that fixes it. What went wrong with the hard drive? is that why your old PC died or was it somthing else?

Well I have been waiting to here from you with just one email address so I can give you two links so you can download a read me file and a program that will fix you dilemma.

If I don't here from you I will assum you came up with a better solution to your problem.

The program i was going to send you comes with no strings attached.

I was just trying to help you out of your dilemma
