Default Floppy Disk Drive Missing

I was going to copy a couple of files to my floppy disk and noticed that all of a sudden it doesn't show in Explorer - My Computer.
I restarted the system and pressed F2 for Set-up and the drive shows there.
I then looked in Control Panel - System - Hardware Devices and the drive shows with an exclamation mark in yellow.
I just used the drive a week or so ago. What's going on?

I have already tried that. It says that windows loaded the device driver but it can't find the hardware device. (Code 41). I think that the drive just went kapoot.
When I have some time, I'll open the case, jiggle the connections and see what happens.
I don't use it that often so maybe I'll try living without it.
Thanks for the response.

Hi Lou,

Unfortunately floppy drive are prone to suddenly keel over. Make sure that the fdd controller is enabled in the BIOS on your system (done that myself before). check the connections, but it could just be that the drive had died.
keep us posted!
