Hello Santa-Noob,

To my knowledge that won't work. When you create a file system and install an OS this creates a Master Boot Sector in sector 0 of the hard drive. It takes a special program to even see that sector of the drive. There are alot of good programs that will do what you need. I can't think of any offhand but I sure someone here can help there.

Good Luck!

Hi Santa-noob, LC is correct...

If there is nothing on the 400gb, i would remove the 100gb from your computer, install windows on the 400gb (defaulting it to C and then plugging in the 110gb again, copy all the files you want to keep (excluding program files and windows) and then install everything again.

This is the best way for keeping your computer running stable and having the 400gb as your OS drive.

Heh, there's no such thing as an "easy fix" with computers unfortunately

There's a "fix" or there's a "work around"....and the work around is only ever temp.

Marked as Answered.
