I want to purchase an additional hard drive, but I don't know what to buy. Do I need a certain kind or brand for my type of computer? I'm not sure how it works. Can you help me please? I want an internal, not an external.

When u buy your HDD you MUST!, fist find out how the hard drive will be conected to the pc, mos likely by ATA cable or by SATA cable. If your computer is old most likly you will need a IDE HDD (it connects with ATA). You can find out what kind of hdd suites you by looking at the cd rom cable. if it's a wide cable it's ATA, if it's a thin(about 1cm) and red than itt's SATA. Much safer it is to read your mother board's users manual. The capacity of your HDD, and the RPM, it's at your choice, depending on how much amount of data can be stored on it/ and how fast it reads/writes.When u buy the HDD ask the sailesman what interface does it have.
