Default what do I do to my slave drive after I've formatted it?

I have a 60GB master that I didn't format, and a 120GB slave that I just formatted today. The format is done, and I can see my 120GB drive, but is there a next step in making my 120GB usefull again? I previously had XP installed on both drives, is that what I'm supposed to do? should the 120GB be the master instead of the 60GB?

Thanks

Hello Swizzelskin.
You can use either one as the master. If youre going to use the slave drive just for storage, i would set the 120g as slave, and use the 60g as master.boot drive. Do you have xp installed on the 60g drive now? And no, you dont need to install windows on the slave drive to use it for storage.

Default do I have to make any changes to the storage drive, like partitioning?

do I just leave the 120GB drive as a blank drive, or do I run partitioning somehow? I've done this once before (like 5 years ago). thanks again in advance.

Is the drive seen by windows and is it assigned a letter? If not follow the instructions in Upgraders post in this link http://www.pchelpforum.com/hard-driv...ata-drive.html

The drive is designated as F drive, 114GB free of 114GB drive. Can I just start moving stuff over to it? I've never had a drive that didn't have an operating system installed.

Thanks again,
Swizz

Hello again Swizzleskin.
Yes, if you have the drive formatted, and it is recognized and shows its full capacity, you should be able to start moving files to it with no problem.
