Talking Blue Screen!!!

May i know how to resolve physical dumping of memory? I have experienced frequent blue screen of dumping of physical memory during normal operations. May i know what are the causes and how to prevent in future? Thanks a lot!!!

Hi Lebron, BSODs relate to different things.

Each one will have a different number which looks like 0x0000000

The best and easiest way to find out what each one means - is goto Google and type in 0x0000000 site:microsoft.com
This will return the problem/resolution from microsoft and different versions of windows.

Replace 0x000000 with the actual error number.


EDIT: However, if you're getting constant BSOD's - there's possibly a hardware fault. First place to look would be memory.

Download Memtest86 - Memory Diagnostic Page and test your memory...very easy and quick.

Also, the physical dump of memory is good. It takes the information from the Blue Screen error and puts it into a dump file, where people here or at Microsoft can diagnose it. Go to the BSOD area of the Windows XP board on this site to find out how to make use of that.
