Default Problems booting Vista/XP

Hi all,

Ok this my problem, I brought Vista Ultimate when it got released, I had both my hard disks formated I installed Vista on my bigger sata2 HDD but I also wanted XP but didn't want to partition any disks, so I installed Xp on my other HDD assuming I would just get which OS would you like to load option. Obviously it doesnt work this way so now every time I start my PC it just loads XP I can't get into Vista. Is there any way I can solve this problem where I could have the option of loading either 2 OS on different HDD's.

Thankyou

hi, when i got vista i installed it on my spare SATA hdd and i had xp on the other, what i do now is open up my pc and switch the hdd's around so if i want xp to load i would only plug in the xp hdd and leave the vista one out and just do it the other way if i wanted vista, but i take it you dont want to keep doing that,

im not sure if this might help but when you boot up your pc, go into the bios and select the boot prioity bit, then sellect what hdd you want it to boot from then restart

that might help but i would get the pros advice if im wrong

Hey TomSter

Thanks for the response yes that seems a bit inconvinent to do, I'll have unlock my case everytime frequently and I don't really want to leave my case open, but switching the HDD boot prioity does work, but there got to be a better way of doing this I can't figure out at all. But I'll do this for now or I guess I have to format my main HDD then partion and then install both OS's on the 1 HDD
