not being very computer literate could anybody out there post me a step by step guide on how to manually reformat my hard drive, I do not want to re install the xp operating system that I am using at present I just want a drive spare for later use, also will I require a boot disc for this operation if so how do I get one.

Get a 98SE bootdisk from Bootdisk.Com
Get the version that includes a ramdrive then look here;
