Angry [Answered] hard drive/red light on case burning steady

Ok, I hope this is the correct place. I have noticed my hard drive light burns steady. I though it should only be on when being access and usually flashes. I have spybot and run it and found nothing serious. I am concerend about the light being on all the time. Any explanation???

could also bring up task manager (ctrl-alt-del) and check the processes tab for anything that seems to be using a lot of your processor speed....
