Try downloading this.

Unzip and copy the files (not the root folder, just files and the 4 subfolders) to a removable media (like a flash drive or another USB storage device).

Insert the Windows Vista installation DVD into the computer's DVD drive.

Turn the computer on, and immediately press the F12 key to display the Boot Menu.

Select Install Windows Vista to start the Windows Vista installation.

Select the language and other preferences, then click Next.

Click Install now.

Enter the product ID and accept the license agreement.

Select the Custom installation option.

The "Where do you want install Vista?" screen will appear, but there will be no partitions listed for the installation.

Select Load driver.

Connect the device containing the driver

Select the driver to be installed (a .INF file on the removable media)

The available partition will now be displayed. Select the partition and click Next.

Click OK

Glad to know I could help (I'm not the best Googler out there, and it was a bit hard to find that driver). It turns out SATA drivers have been a problem with Vista, and I wasn't sure it would work. Just one question: what did you put the drivers on? I wasn't sure if you had multiple CD drives, I should have mentioned that you could have made a driver CD for the future. Well, at least it worked!

As a follow-up, I would go here and scan your computer. You don't need to sign up (I did, but just so I didn't have to go out and search for individual drivers). Now, if there's a driver update for your Hard Drive on there, I wouldn't go search for it unless you start having problems. Vista is supposedly very picky about drivers, so leave it if it works. However, I'm just recommending DriverAgent for your other devices because it is a very good site to find out what you need. If Vista is anything like XP, it will flip out if you don't keep your drivers up-to-date. Just remember: keep your HDD drivers the same, just in case.

And now I'm rambling. xD
Hope I helped.
