Angry Accidental deletion of partition

Hi all,

I did a pretty dumb thing today, i accidentally deleted the partition on my external hard drive while re-intalling windows and now cannot access the files on the drive.

Is it possible to recover the files?

Please help, this is very irritating if i cannot recover my files.

Thanks,
Zendithos

Hi Zend,

You may not be able to recover all of the data, and it does depend heavily on how much the disk has been used since the partition was deleted.

The best software I've used is: Buy and Download - R-Studio FAT 2.0

Depending on what file system your using, there are two seperate versions for FAT and NTFS.

I actually only deleted the partition an hour or two ago and haven't done anything to it since. How would I go about re-partitioning it and recovering the files?

Hi Zend. If it's still unpartitioned, this is the best time to use R-Studio. The moment you repartition it is when you start losing data.
