My parents computer had windows 2000 on it and the 3.5 flopy drive worked fine,I have upgraded 2 windows xp,and now the 3.5 floppy drive doesnt work,I am assuming it is the driver for it,I havent had my hands on it yet so i'm just guessing thats the problem,Does anyone know were I can get the driver for a 3.5 floppy disc drive?It is important that I get this resolved as it will make me look like an idiot if I cant fix such a simple problem.ANy help??????????????

Did you upgrade over the top of 2000, or do a clean install of xp? XP should have the drivers required for the floppy, ive never run accross one yet that it didnt have a driver that would work, but its possible i guess. Does the floppy show up in device manager? Does it have a yellow exclamation mark by it? Either way, if it shows up, try uninstalling it, restart and let windows redetect it and reinstall drivers for it.

I have 2 wait untill later 2day 2 go over there and see what the deal is,That is what ive been hearing,that it should be in windows by default,and it was a clean install of windows,I will post more info when I get it,Thanx guys!

Ok I found out what was wrong ,I opened it up and the power wire wasn unplugged!Easy fix!
