Default S-ATA and S-ATA2 in RAID0

Hi,

I have a quick question:

I have 2 drives, a Samsung HD160JJ and a Samsung SP1614C.
Both are 160GB, both are 7200RPM, but one is SATA-2 and the other is just SATA. I am going to buy a MSI P965 Platinum which has a 6-port SATA-2 controller with RAID 0-5, and I want these 2 drives conifigured in RAID0. My question is, will I need to set the newer drive to SATA-1 only operation, or can I leave it in SATA-2 speed so it will read/write faster than the other drive? Will that affect the overall speed of the RAID configuration?

I'm not 100% positive, but I think both drives need to be identical in a RAID configuration.

I wouldn't even bother with a RAID0, all it really does is combine 2 hard drives into 1, and there are softwares that do that.
