Unfinished Threads - Windows Setup wont detect SATA Drive posted in the Community forums; I Recently purchased a Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 Via K8T890 Chipset motherboard. I installed a SATA drive and the computer detects it but windows setup says it doesnt detect it. Any suggestions?...

Default Windows Setup wont detect SATA Drive

I Recently purchased a Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 Via K8T890 Chipset motherboard. I installed a SATA drive and the computer detects it but windows setup says it doesnt detect it. Any suggestions?

You may have installed it as a secondary drive, not partitioned it correctly or the drive configures on the drive itself are wrong.

You need to install the SATA drivers-Look in your mainboard's CD, and copy the SATA drivers to a floppy. Press F6 when Windows setup starts, then follow the instructions...
