Arrow Help Me SATA
HI, i am welcomed to pchelp

i have the following issue, maybe you can help me:

i recently bought a WD1600js Disk, Sata 300, with the option to be jumped to work on SATA150. the Fact is that my MB is not recognizing it, neither jumping it or not, i have tried with my IDE HDS Plugged and unplugged TOO, it just dont get it, updated the bios, Tried other cables, etc. it doesnt seems to work. i am powering it trhought the legacy power connector, not the Sata, but i dont really think this can affect.

Let me just get some clarification on this...

You have a Western Digital 160gb SATA2 hard drive?
You may want to check some settings in your BIOS to see if your SATA ports are actually enabled.

Powering a sata hdd by legacy or sata power makes no difference...they're both 12V

Default I had done
I had already checked the bios settings, it supports sata 150, but wd1600js has a jumper to downgrade it to 150 spec.

i activated sata on the bios, Ide mode.

it stils doesnt gets it

I Can Fix This  I Need Help
