Default Hard drive crash

When starting up my PC I got the message " The file \windows\system32\l_intl.nls is corrupt or missing " I can get to the BIO's but not safe mode. I have allot of info on my PC, some backed up, and need it. I bought a Boot Disk (The Amazing Boot Disk) and I can get into my PC now at least to try and fix it. One option I have is to copy all the programs etc. to another hard drive. Do I simply connect another hard drive to my PC, set it as the slave and copy? And if so will I have the same problem with the new hard drive? I have other options but not smart enough to figure it out. I've copied the file off of another PC but can't seem to figure out how to replace it. Please Help

Thanks

Hi BuckeyBoy.

You can replace it through the recovery console.
If you boot off the windows xp cd, it will give you the option for repair install, recovery console, or new install.

and then it's just a slightly different version of DOS and you will be able to copy the fle over from CD or Disc

Hi GaRHaR
Thanks for the quick reply, I've got the flu and I'm a little slow on getting back to you. I've tried using the xp disc to do a repair but thats all I know how to do, could you give me a little heads up on how to do that? Or where I could go for the info.
