hi,after 200+other listings i think i need the dummy award! i killdisk,d both hdrives in a friends buggy pc , great! except..i mis-set the boot to c drive not cdrom duh! now theres a black screen no bios nothing..oooh dear!
i found this site cos a friend copied a bootdisk for me (floppy) however it didnt work, bummer. i cant give info on what it is cos i can,t open to look,its old 64ram had 10 and 3 gig drives(and it used to work) before me!! MCT brand with australia on tag, is all i have, eyes too wonky to see anything on motherboard to id it with, and i have a patient but peeved friend.
was running xp,i do have disk, but how to get it to kick over...mission impossible??

Howdy Laurel and welcome to the Site..

This shold be quick and harmless to fix.. Open the case and look for the little round battery inside the pc and take it out for 20 seconds put it back in a wallah you will have your bios back.. you will have to reset the time and date though

AND make sure you have the power cable removed when taking the battery out!
