Unfinished Threads - New build - Drives not detected posted in the Community forums; Hehe, that was my next question.... have you changed the plugs at the end of the PSU ? I see that unit has 5 12v CD/HD plugs on it..tried them ...

Hehe, that was my next question....
have you changed the plugs at the end of the PSU?
I see that unit has 5 12v CD/HD plugs on it..tried them all?

I just tried that, and still no results. I didn't try every possible order because I don't think it would matter. I basically made this switch:

[HD] [CD] [FD] [--] [--] to [--] [--] [FD] [CD] [HD]

It seems the configuration doesn't matter: they all don't work.

This is a rather interesting problem really...
as the motherboard requires more power then all 3 of those items combined...

have you tried just having the hd or cd in by itself?

550 watt is moer then enough for a 7800gt SLI system, it will be enough for this...but perhaps the PSU is faulty?
