hello,
i tried to do a repair install of windows anbd it froze half way through so i had windows half installed, so i had to put the hdd's in my mates comp and then copy all the documents accroos
then reformat and install windows and copy my files across..... unfortunatly i made the mistake of copying the application data and everything else back across. now i get random freezes on start up, freezes on shut down, internet randomly stops and wont work till a restart, read errors (on ram). so its still stuffed but at least its booting

Hey Let Go,

You two are something else, I tell you. LOL.

For the amount of time and energy you have devoted to this, do yourself a favor, and do it right.

I'm assuming that you left copies on clockwork's PC, . If that is so, FDISK the HDD, recreate the partition, activate it, the install the OS CD, and have it format you back to NTFS, then reinstall.

Now, ONE AT A TIME bring back only the files that you actually need, and stop trying to do this as a one shot deal. Something in your application data is corrupted and you will never identify it and keep it from messing up your PC until you slow down, and figure it out. Make sure that you are not bringing programs accross, only data files. Reinstall the programs from their original locations.

We will be REALLY interested in how this turns out, please keep us posted. . Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
