i found one or two entries in the registry reffering to intelligent shutdown i removed them and created a back up. if i remember corerctly the nintendo 64 emulator contained a registery file that u had to click to uninstall. ill try and obtain it and post it so u can look and see if that is the problem.

You are most certainly welcome, it's what we are here for.

You'll want to go to the motherboard manufacterer's web site, and upload the updated BIOS, (You will want to see what you are running first, by checking your current BIOS,) Then using a bootable CD, if you have it, a Floppy, reboot your PC, usually the downloaded BIOS is included in a self extracting bat file.

If the download is included in an .iso file, you will need to burn it to a CD using something like Nero or Roxio which can disassemble the .iso into it's components, creating a bootable CD that will automatically flash your BIOS.

Let us know if you need help finding the updated version, (we are assuming there is one.)

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

Thanks ih8bills.

for future reference:
If you uninstall using the software provider's uninstaller you will USUALLY get a more complete removal--this is especially true for firewalls/antivirus apps.

there is a ton of help for flashing bios-- here's a pretty clear one:
