Angry [Fixed] Cursed cursor

Evening guys.

Just tried installing a slave hard drive (didn't work so took it back out).

The problem I then had was at POST, I got beeps to say I had memory failure. However I fixed that, but that led me onto my new problem which I can't figure out.

My curser is a normal arrow for 5 seconds, then an arrow with egg-timer for 5 seconds. etc etc.

It's driving me insane and I can't figure out what the problem is.

:undecidedAny suggestions?!:undecided

Thanks Dave, but I don't think it's that. It was instantly after I rebooted, after removing the hard drive (and fixed the memory failure).

I'm running a scan all the same, but not too confident it'll find the solution.

Hi, what is your task manager doing? i.e: what programs are running in synch with the hourglass popping up?

VSMON.EXE

Keeps coming in processes with the hourglass.

Didn't think to check Task man!

Does this shed any light?
