Default [Fixed] PS2 HDD to NTFS

I have got a HDD connected to my ps2 and would like to swap the mponster 200GB in there for the 80 GB in my PC, but when I connect the PS2 formatted drive into my pc the only programs that can see it are winhiip and programs like that, I would like to know of a way to format the drive ready for normal use in my PC?

well I have just used the XP install CD to format the drive but a new problem has arisen, My so called 200 GB drive is alot smaller than the label on it states, Now i know that I should expect a few GB's lost in the translation of Bytes and higher but the properties for the drive in question are saying that it is only a 127GB HDD, now that is a few more than a couple of GB's,,,, does anyone have any thoughts

The hard drive size issue is a known one. Can you post your full make and model of your hard drive please SB.

I have just enabled LBA mode with a tool found here :

http://www.largeharddrivesupport.win....com/winxp.htm

but still the drive only shows as 127GB's

I have just look in computer management and noticed that 61.93GB has been unallocated to the drive, does this shed any light on the subject and how to cure it

EDIT: yes hengis it is a Maxtor 6L200P0

Grab Partition Magic from here: http://www.click-now.net/html/PartitionMagic.htm - back up any data on that particular drive then join the un-allocated space into the existing NTFS partition.
