Angry [Answered] 1200A Really ****ing me off!!! HELP!

I had a 1200A Adaptec POS running my Windows XP OS off of 3 Seagate 120gb HDs in a RAID 0. Everything ran fine. I wanted some more speed so I decided to get a couple 74gb Raptors.

I created a RAID 0 with the two Raptors, installed windows xp pro sp2.

I CANNOT for the life of me get the old RAID 0 array to appear in MY Computer as another drive.

I have alot of mp3z isoz & whatnot on that old array. It'd be nice if I could access it.

I tried the HPT370, HPT3xx, & adaptec 1.3 drivers. All seem to work when I look in device manager.

Stupid little windows bubble pops up and says "device installed and ready to use" or some **** like that. What a lie!

During bootup the raid boots fine and all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really getting worried I won't be able to recover my old data.

Hi Xero187 Welcome to the PC Help Forum.

I apologise that noone has repsonded to your question and know how frustrating the thought of loosing all that data could be. I hope this information finds you well and helps you out.

Your best bet would be to check the Disk Management and assign the drive letter to the old array manually.

To do this - Start -> Run -> diskmgmt.msc
All you need is in there.

I will mark this as Answered until such time as you respond as i'm confident this is the solution.
