Default Can't get old drive working...

Hey guys,

As anyone who had read my previous thread knows, I just installed a new SATA drive and card, which are working fine on their own. However, this is a seperate issue, so I figured it deserved a new thread. I am trying to get the old EIDE WD600BB drive working as well. I set the jumpers on the old drive to slave, and it is still not being recognized. How can I get this working? I still have quite a bit to do after this and I need to get this thing done before I leave tomorrow morning, hopefully with enough time to get at least a few hours sleep, otherwise it's... goodnight

Thanks.

Howdy again

Are you trying to connect the hard drive onto the secondary IDE cable?

If the answer is yes then that would be the problem, when running a SATA drive the secondary IDE becomes disabled. So if you are wanting to copy any information off an old IDE hard drive then you will need to connect it onto the Primary IDE channel, you may have to remove your CD-ROM drive whilst doing this.
