Question [Fixed] need help very bad

i have been working on my comp for 4 days now i have been tryng to upgrade my hard drive i had a 20gb hd and i am bumping it up to a 120gb hd but i am having probs getting it figured out:sad: some how it is set at 11mb in size and i dont know how i could've done that:icon_scra when i first installed it it was hanging up my comp at boot. then i had installed it as a 30gb but my system hangs on anything over 30.8gb how can i mask the hd to apear to be a 30gb and still have the 120 after windows starts? can you please help me this is how i am feeling about my pc right now :computer_ so i need help getting the 11mb setting off and having it back to normal and getting it to run at max if you need more info i am running a hewlet pakard pentium II
400 MHz with xp pro installed that is about all i know about my system it is an old one i can tell you that

Ouch, your system doesn't support a 120gig hd. You can try to download and isntall:
- software from the hd manufacturer to allow the drive to be seen at it's full size (when you have xp)
- download and isntall a bios update.
when you have win98 chances are slim it's going to work unless you have win98 se

do you know where i can get teh software it is a samsung hd i am going crazy trying to fix my prob and thank you for the lil tidbit it may help me out alot

Please post the full model number for your Samsung drive (it will be written on the drive itself).

it is a samsung SV1203N that is the model # i am running it back at 30 gb now so i fixed the 11mb prob but i still cant get ti to run asa full 120 gb i have a program to fake out the pc on boot but it is still showing up as the 31 can you give me a ratio for the gb in tio mb ? pls and thank you
