Unhappy Transfer from RAID

Thanks to a few "brown-outs" yesterday, my pc will no longer boot ("error initializing OS", or something like that). Neither of the non-destructive options on recovery disk fix the problem, so I assume I will have to reformat. Problem is transfering personal files off before reformatting. Would be a no-brainer, but OS is on two HD's set up as RAID 0. Are there any cables available to convert two RAID 0 HD's into a USB connection so I can save files to my laptop first?

Thanks for the help!

Hi made2play, welcome to PHCF
This sounds nasty....
The following methods, best above, will allow you to save your data:
- place the drive in another computer and backup your files
- install windows on top off the old windows, backup everything and do a clean install
- do a clean install on one of the drives where no data you want to save is present.

good luck, Bram

Yes, that would normally do the trick, but we are talking about 2 HDD linked together in a RAID 0 config. Need to have RAID capable MB and all to access the two HDD together. My other pc's can't do that. Optimal find would be a RAID compatable transfer cable (or take it in and pay to get my files put on disks).

Damn, they're linked together, now I see, sorry.
Sounds like you need a server-setup to get the two hd's working.....
To my knowledge there are no double raid to usb cables/converters available...
I think reinstalling widnows on top of the old one will do the trick, just for backing up
