after installing linux, i need to get my HARD DISK back working with WINDOWS, i have WINDOWS installed on my first HDD and linux RED HAT 8 on my other HDD. I need to know how to get my linux HDD formatted so i can use it for windows. i do not need linux installed any more so i need some help on formatting it !!! any help please !!!

Ive never used linux so i'm not sure but if you boot up in windows and go to administative tools/computer management/disk management , do the partitions show up there and can you format them there?

Or boot up from the windows disc , proceed with the setup until you get to the part where you choose a partition to install windows , and re-create the partitions there and then exit the installation menu.

Joe5 is right, simply boot off your Windows CD and delete your current partition. Then create a new one, format it and start loading windows
