Hey, joined the forum after getting some help from Hengis who was looking at my forum - cheers dude...
OK, I buy a larger hard drive. All I want to do is clone the OS from the old drive to the new drive. I had slightly successfully done this eventually (I've got some kind of hardware fault which causes the machine to reset - I'll post a seperate thread for that

)
So, I've done the clone.... but the cloned version of XP won't work. Log in and I get
A Problem is Preventing Windows from Accurately Checking the License for this Computer
So I try a clone again with Partition Magic and although it appears to have cloned, the drive appears not to be bootable.
Fair enough. Try again.
Change drives around, boot up original OS and when I try and logon I'm now getting....
Local Policy of this machine does not permit you to logon interactively.
What is going on here? Can't log on to my own machine... Do I need to do a repair install? I was trying to save time not having to de-register software etc. etc. by cloning rather than doing a completely new install.
Thanks,
Mark.
