I want to use a different hard drive, I have one that has been formatted.

I tried backing up the current hard drive to the new one but on starting up a message comes up saying something like missing NTFS file press Cntrl Alt & Del.
:-(
Please help what should I do.

Thanks

Hi there.

Ok, you will need to give a bit more detail please before anyone can help you:

1) What's the exact message you are getting?

2) What hardware do you have ? If you don't know, go to this thread: System Info

Thanks.

That message can relate to the fact that you have a non-boot floppy disk in the drive - check....

There nothing in the A drive so thats not the problem. On looking around the internet I see that I may need to make a bootable disk.

Is that right, and if so how do I do it.

Any help will be appreciated.

You WILL need a bootdisk for this project. Best place on the 'net for bootdisks is Bootdisk.com

Which drive are you having a problem with? The new one or the old one? How have you copied the info from your old drive to the new one?
Did you install an operating system (Windows) onto the new drive?

You are going to have to do something pretty tricky and it's really important that you get it right so this info is vital.
