Default Choosing a TV Tuner Card

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a tuner card but it's not something I really understand too well, so Newegg's traditional method of narrowing down the options doesn't apply since I don't know exactly what I'm looking for.

What I'm looking for is a card (PCI or PCIe x1, but preferably PCIe x1) that has support for composite A/V input (for VHS backups), S-Video (this could replace composite theoretically as adapters exist for this), analog (for television) and HDMI (for recording PS3 gameplay or output from my cable box). I'm looking for something that has full 1080p support, as I'm not only a sucker for quality but also didn't invest in that 1080p monitor for nothing.

I would PREFER that this be a card and not an external device (can Firewire even support full 1080p at 32-bit color, 60Hz?) and would PREFER a price range $100 or less, but again I don't know what's out there so I'm trying to not be picky. It's just that with all these new videos I'll be recording, I'm going to need another Hard Drive too (those I can handle).

Hello Rodents210 and get ready for the bad news:

Your chances of finding what you are looking for are practically nil.

Check here for the Windows Logo'd Products List: http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-v...ucts-list.html
I was for a long time (years...) waiting for a 64bit TV Tuner so I could switch to 64 bit of Windows Vista Ultimate that I paid a large amount of money for.

Eventually I gave up, removed the TV Tuner card, and installed W 7 64 Bit Ultimate, to make good use of my 8 GB of RAM.

Now IF and WHEN a compatible TV Tuner comes, maybe I'll buy it, and maybe not-maybe I would have outgrown by then the need for one.

I use and recommend Compro digital hybrid tv tuners, I have three T300's in one box and 1 650E in another and have had excellent results with them.

All record in high definition from the ts signal, and are able to record from a vcr as well if needed...
