Default New GFX Card/Power Supply - Old PC

Ok so im thinking of buying a new gfx card for my 6yr old PC, but im unsure if what im going to buy will work alongside my low 300watt (could be 350, but im not sure) power output

im currently running a 6200TC wich i beilve its factory settings came overclocked, and am deciding to upgrade....

Im currently looking atan 8400GS, but whether or not it will run on 300-350 watts im not sure
my Motherboard supports PCI Express X16 cards

So, will the gfx card run on the low power, or not?

Hello Blueman - Welcome back to the forum!

If you click here it will take you to a page where you can enter your PC hardware information and it will tell you what power PSU you will require to run it all

I did a quick search and it appears the 8400 GS requires a PSU with a minimum of 18 amps @ 12 volts. Depending on the quality (or lack thereof) this would be ~350watt PSU.

I dont understand what type of hard drive i have
my processor doesnt look like its on the list
or if my motherboard has anything built in

Also, it wont help because all i want to do is upgrade my gfx card. that site only gives the option for "PCI Express Video Card" and nothing else
and seeing as how i am upgrading from 1 PCI express card to another PCI express card, its not going to change on the site is it
