Unhappy Black screen crash

My pc crashes to a black screen which then displays "no signal". The pc then freezes and a hard reboot is the only solution. I verified the windows mini dump file, i don't have one. Yes it's activated, but i ain't getting one. After i do hard reboot, windows asks me if i want to restart in safe mode or normal mode bla bla bla.
This only happens while i am playing vampire the masquerade:bloodlines or godfather 2.

here are my system specs.

Zotac 9600GT 512 mb
Creative X-FI Xtremegamer (currently removed from pc for test purposes)
500watt 32A psu
4 gigs of 667 ram
Core 2 duo e6300 @ 1.86
250 gig HHD, 150 gigs free space (i think it's a maxtor)
22" LCD VisionQuest
Intel D946GZISL MOBO
Windows 7 ultimate x64 ( activated and registered )

My windows is a clean install from 2 weeks ago, however i had this issue with Winxp pro x86.
All my drivers are up to date. I did a BIOS update at one point through the intel website, might coincide with my problem, but can't be exactly sure.

I know I'm not giving alot of information, but at this point, without a windows minidump, I don't know where else to start. Might try re-installing Direct-x 9.0c

My pc will be three years old in january and it is regularly cleaned from dust. As of now, it is very clean and dust free.

I will await further instructions as to what u need to help me. Thank u in advance and have a good day!

Thanx for your help, much appreciated, but i don't get a minidump file. That's what i tried to explain, which maybe i poorly did. All the options are set to get the dump log, but i don't get one.
So that's where i am at, dunno which step to take.
I am using win7 64 bit, maybe there's a different option for it, i dunno.
The default save location for the minidump file is %systemroot%\minidump.
I look in Windows from my C drive, and it's not there. I dunno if my sympton is considered BSOD because nothing is blue. Screen just turns off and system freezes, just as if my vid card overheats and shuts off. No messages or anything, just a power down of the screen.

Have you tried uninstalling your graphics card drivers?

And is the black screen regular eg screen goes black after five minutes or as soon as Windows loads

Or is it intermittent where sometimes it might be a minute or an hour between black screens?

Download SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

Download and install Speedfan to check the temperatures of the PC components. Post the results here or a screenshot of them.

I tried uninstal and reinstal of gpu drivers.I also physically removed my soundcard to verify if it wasn't the culprit. It wasn't, so i reinstalled it.
The black screen so far only happens when i play vampire the masquerade bloddlines or godfather 2. Used to happen more frequently when i had Winxp pro x86. With winxp, it really was random, but at least once per day. While i play either one of those games, it will take between 1 and 15 minutes to happen.
I can play resident evil 5, borderlands, need for speed shift at high settings with 1680x1050 resolution for hours on end with no problems at all. I watch movies, browse web, etc. All normal usage is fine. My pc is very clean and dust free. Every component is cleaned within 14 days, no exception. (including psu and gpu)
I have installed Speedfan as requested and will post a log once i get one.

Have you tried running the two problem games at the lowest possible settings?

eg 1024x768 resolution and with all advanced effects turned off?

Also if its just those two games maybe reinstalling them would help?

Tried every setting and possible configuration. They have been installed on xp and win7. Same result. Vampire has been installed 4 times already. All to the same result. I will get back to u on that result of the fan test.
