Let me get this straight.

You bought a card off eBay and it worked for a while, then no display. You bought another PSU, still no display. Tried 'eBay card' in another PC, no display. Installed a different card in your PC (where the ebay card didn't work) and you have a display.

If I got all that right, your eBay card is a goner.

Thanx man although this was the last thing I wanted to hear.

Do you think I can send it back to ASUS for a repair cause the seller told me that there is a 3 year warranty on the card.

That's a good question. I've never purchased an ASUS branded card before. I do know the eVGA, Gigabyte, and XFX cards I've bought required me to register the card within a certain time period to validate the warranty.

Off the top of my head I'd say ASUS probably has the same requirement, but that's a guess.

Well I guess I am busted, cause I am not from the USA, I live in the West Indies (Caribbean). I am trying to contact the seller about this but he is not really trying to help. I spent alot (at least to me since I am not working) for this card. What I would like to know if anyone will be willing to give me a good card that they are not using now, even for a small fee.

Many thanx.

I don't think where you live has anything to do with registering a computer component. I haven't checked, but ASUSTek is probably based in Taiwan. You might try logging on to their homepage (wherever they are) and completing the registration process. If the eBay seller is a legitimate ASUS dealer your purchase should pose no warranty problems.

My next statement does you no good now, but I never miss a chance to repeat it. I wouldn't buy a CMOS battery off eBay. IMO, many of the eBay "stores" do business there for less than honorable reasons.

Case in point, a decent "store" or reputable seller would be more than happy to help you out with a video card bought from them.

Caveat Emptor.........

Well I have been shopping on ebay for the past 8 years and this might be a fault of mine that the card went bad, but then again I would have gotten warranty if I bought it from a shop like New Egg or Tiger Direct.
