Ok reboot and go into Safe Mode by tapping F8 on boot up, let us know what you see then.

It's weird. Upon pressing safe mode, when all the .sys and whatever files that loaded are gone, for a little moment a bsod appears and then it just puts me back in the energy star page. It's a loop.

Also, the energy screen and the windows xp loading screen look completely normal. It divides into pieces at the welcome screen. It makes a sound as if I was changing resolution.

oh and the screen is kind of like waving at the center.

Nevermind. I just changed the resolution and it looks ok now. I really appreciate your help. This is just the place where one should search for tech help. I never even got input at other sites.

So you changed the resolution in Safe Mode and rebooted and all looks good now yes?

Not really... since it was impossible to get into safe mode, I just changed the resolution. after all the possibilities I had thought of, this one didn't really cross my mind. at all. oh well, simplicity ftw.
