Default New graphics card messed up all my games

The graphics card is:
Sapphire Radeon HD 3650 512MB DDR2 Memory.

I recently got it and since then all my games have really bad graphics. The card is properly installed in my PC and the driver is there too. I have tried playing Bully, Counter Strike 1.6, and Rise of Nations, all have the same problem. And when I try to exit the game, it usually restarts the computer.
Sometimes, I can't even start the games, because after a few black screens it'll close down and I'll get the message "VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands".

I couldn't get a screen shot because I've removed the games from my PC. The bad graphics make them unplayable. Basically, everything looks purple or green. Nothing is smooth, there's picture within picture. If there's smoke coming out of a chimney, I'll see squares coming out instead.

Can anyone help me out with this thing?

Have you tried updating the drivers of the card, and reinstalling the games? Another thing, the games may not be (as) compatible with that graphics card- some only work with NVidia Chipsets etc. Check the games out too.
So, Update/Reinstall the drivers, and check the games for compatability with your card would be my suggestion. Hope that helps.

Go to the ATI website and use the search function to select your driver.

AMD Support Search

However, I think the problem here is that the games "think" you are using the old graphics card.

When you install games, they scan your hardware and optimise it/create settings. The settings are unique to each graphics card.

I know that for GTA San Andreas there was a gta.set file in the My Documents > GTA SA folder that contained the settings for your card.

If you deleted the gta.set file then the game would rescan your hardware. This was necessary to get the game to work if you had changed graphics cards.

Of course, not every game has a .set file so I'm not sure how you get every game to reconfigure itself for your graphics card.

But reinstalling should work. Or updating the drivers
