Default S-Video to my TV

hi again

ok, i recently bought an S-video cable so i can attach my TV to my laptop.

the cable goes from my laptop to my TV fine, no probs and im trying to get the picture on my TV by holding "Fn+F4" F4 is the key which has the picture of an extra monitor on it and a picture of an open laptop.

i was told this wud switch the screen so i could see it on my TV but so far it hasnt done a thing. the laptop screen makes no change and from wot i can see, the button has had no effect wot so ever. i have "intel graphix media accelerator" installed which claims the hotkey for this shud be F3 which also does nothing. i disabled intell media...... hotkeys so it was working from the laptops defaults but no joy.

am i simply doing something wrong? or is something not configured correctly?

any help is appreciated, cheers

Are you on XP or Vista?

By the way SVHS is not S-Video.

So you have 2 dedicated S-Video sockets?

You need to discover which sockets are inputs only, which are input/output only and which are output only.
