Angry 6pin to 8pin Red Lights

I just purchased a 9800GX2 from newegg.
The circled items were missing from the package

The one adapter i needed the most is missing

I searched google and found out that i could just use 6pin slot, I tried it but the connector is light red

there is also a light on the back that i light red

Dose this mean that its not supplying sufficient power or dose it mean i need a 6pin to 8pin adapter??

Before i purchased the GPU i used a Power Calculator to make sure my 650W PSU would supply sufficient power, The calculator said i would need at least 520W so i think im fine for power, well i hope im fine

Exclamation Re: 6pin to 8pin Red Lights

No problem, The adapter seems to have solved the problem but now i have a few more. When i bought the GPU from newegg it said that its memory Clock was 2100MHz but CPUz and the Nvidia control panel both say that my Memory clock is 1050 MHz? or are they just adding both the Memory clocks toghter?

I also have a HDD problem. I originally had 5 HDDs, I have 4 SATA ports at the bottom of my MOBO (Connected to 4 1000RPM HDDs) and 2 twards the center (Had my 1TB HDD connected to on of those) But since my new GPU covers those 2 SATA ports i was forced to get a new HDD to replace 3 of my 10000RPM HDDs. So now i have 3 HDDs connected to 3 of the 4 sata ports at the bottom of my mobo. when i turn on my PC with the 1TB hdd connected the PC wont boot up and wont display the other 2HDDs? But when i disconnect the 1TB HDD it shows the 2 other HDDs just fine and boots right to windows? I have found a strange way around this. If i leave all 3 HDDs connected and boot into my Bios before it loads the HDDs and select to boot windows everything works fine, windows boots and shows all 3 HDDs just fine??

Sorry if this sounds a bit confusing but anyone have any idea?

i will post a video of what im talking about in a second.

Those readings are correct.

So the BIOS is seeing all 3 hard drives? What are the makes/models of those hard drives? Are you trying to set up a RAID ARRAY? What is on the 1TB hd?

Give me your full specifications including the psu

Just my 2 cents worth, but I noticed your GPU-Z results showed the '175.19' driver in use. That is an old driver. The latest is '178.13', and can be downloaded at:

Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Just enter your card and O/S info.
