Well TOday i bought a nvida geforce 8800 gs and i got from my fav pc store maplins, now when i opened it up, i have :

1xdriver cd
1xleaflet on installations of driver
1xs-video to some blue red green connections(presumabley HDTV).
1xTomb Radier full game!!!!

Well when i opened my box containing the Graphics card the card had only a DVI connection, S-vidieo connection, HDMI, now ther is no VGA since i have a lcd screen , now is their some sort of adapter available to convert S-VIDEO OR DVI to VGA?

Oh and the DVI connection is dual link (DVI-I) AND i think it is a male connection not sure.

The only adapter was 2 standard molex connectors to pci express power , onw s-video to compostite cables

I agree with Cobracon - you should have received a DVI to VGA adapter - plus a VGA cable. Did you check the manual as Cobracon suggested for a list of included parts. Did the box still have the plastic wrap on it when you bought it?

Otherwise can post the make and model of the GC and maybe we can check it for you.

PLEASE HELP, I just got my DVI TO VGA adapter , for my 8800 GS card, now a major problem has occurred ,

When I connected the adapter to the monitor cable ( I have a lcd Display), And i switch on my pc, It loads up fine , But there is no display on the screen , I checked the manual but it says install the card first then load up into windows then install drivers, i re-checked the connection but still no display.

I checked the GPU The fan was spinning.

Were you using onboard video prior to getting the 8800?

If so then you will need to into BIOS and tell it to use the 8800 for the display. Otherwise connect the monitor back up to onboard - boot to windows and completely install 8800 drivers etc and then change BIOS.
