Default Cannot watch full-screen Flash videos

Uh, not really sure where this goes, though I assume that it has something to do with graphics...

When I watch flash videos (youtube, Adult Swim Video, etc.) in full screen, the display freezes then turns black after a certain amount of time, seems random, but it always starts out fine.

The audio continues as usual and I can easily get out and start over again with the escape key.

When I do close it, an error message pops up in the bottom-right hand corner. It says: 'Display Driver has stopped working and has recovered. Display Driver R300 stopped responding and has successfully recovered.'

It's still under warranty, but I was just wondering if this was something I could fix on my own.

I might add that full-screen works fine in Windows Media Player.

So again, sorry if this isn't the right board, but maybe someone can help?

OK... We need more info.

suggest-- when you repost-- go into "User CP" "edit options" --scroll down the list.
List all your hardware in the spaces be sure to list the Brands and Model Numbers
-- at the top-- there is an option to "allow others to view my specs"-- click on yes.
It saves a lot of time between posts if while you check something I can go look up your motherboard manufacturer's site and read the manual.

You can also list your OS...all this is a great time-saver for us-- we can view everything quickly to refresh our memories... as we are all working multiple threads at once.
This would be automatic from that point on-- so if you have another problem six months from now-- we can instantly know what you have.

OK, sorry, I thought I had done that when I signed up.

I filled in some of the fields, but I don't know much about the rest, I can say that everything inside the laptop itself came with the system.

That's fine...makes it much easier to have a make/model available -- we see hundreds of them.

According to Gateway Support-- that PC comes with BigFix... this is a system manager that I have used-- works pretty well.
http://support.gateway.com/s/softwar...746faq25.shtml

Launch it --let it run-- it will tell you if you need drivers/software/hotfixes etc.

See what we get ...

Well, I opened bigFix for a couple of hours after you posted that, and then today for about three more and still haven't gotten any updates.

Strange-- though I'm not familiar with the paid version that would come on a factory PC... it always was a piece-of-cake to operate. You just opened it and it would offer to configure itself.

When you open it do you see any Scan buttons?

Let me look at the Gateway site.
